Host Course: Purpoodock Club, 300 Spurwink Avenue, Cape Elizabeth, ME

 

Golf Shop: The Golf Shop will be open at 6:30 a.m. each day of the competition.

 

Practice Facilities: The Practice tee will open at 6:30 a.m. each day of the competition. The practice tee will only be available to players to warm up before the round. Practice after any round is not permitted.  Players will be required to hit from the artificial tee surface.

 

Food and Beverage: Breakfast will be available each day starting at 7:00 a.m. Greenside (the clubhouse restaurant) will be open from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday for competitors and caddies. Greenside will be open from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. A grill station on the deck will be available for an additional lunch option on Tuesday and Wednesday for players, caddies, and spectators. In addition, Aprés Tee beverages will be available from Definitive Brewing and Aprés on the deck from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

 

Practice Rounds: Practice rounds may be scheduled for the following days: Monday June 24th, Thursday June 27th and Monday July 1st. Please make a reservation by calling the Golf Shop (207) 799-0821. The fee is $60, and carts are available for $20. Practice rounds are available to tournament participants only. Playing caddies or spectators are not permitted. Players are asked to play one ball, please do not hit multiple shots from the same location. This is to help pace of play and limit turf damage.

 

Parking: Due to limited parking, players and caddies are encouraged to carpool.  The parking lot will be open to Maine Amateur competitors and Purpoodock Club members only.  Spectators, caddies, Maine Golf staff, and members of the media will be required to park at Gull Crest Field (approximately 1.5 miles from the club on Spurwink Avenue).  The club has hired Atlantic Limousine as a shuttle service from 6:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. all three days of the competition.

 

Caddies and Push Carts: Players are permitted to employ a caddie and/or use a push cart.

 

Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation is permitted. Carts will be available and can be rented in the golf shop at the players’ expense. No more than two carts are permitted in any group. If carts are limited at the host site, players may be required to share carts. No two single carts can go out in any pairing, even if both players have a caddie. Seats are not guaranteed for caddies and players should assume that caddies will need to walk.

 

Withdrawals:  Please advise Maine Golf immediately by emailing mike@mainegolf.org if you are unable to compete. Failure to advise Maine Golf of a withdrawal may disqualify the player from future competitions.
